You'll also need to kill the adds, the 2 Tome of War. You won't get credit for killing The Archivist until you collect all books and Ta'eran gives you the quest Archival Protection. Don't fight the Tomes, click on any books, and go downstairs. It's protected by 2 flying book mobs Tome of War. They do little damage and are easy to avoid. There are minor hazards on the stairs, balls and laser beams.
